Celebrating all that is wonderful in North Cornwall

Save the date! Bude Climate Partnership announces a new family festival celebrating the best of Bude.

The Bright Futures Festival 2022 is a free event organised by Bude Climate Partnership that will be held at The Castle and the Parkhouse Centre, Bude on 2 July 2022 from 11am–5pm.

The day will offer an assortment of activities for all the family and will be jam-packed with live music from the best musicians in town. There will also be dance performances, art exhibitions, a ‘circular’ fashion show and lots of competitions to take part in.

On The Castle green, a variety of food stalls will serve up the finest vegetarian and vegan food in the area. A marketplace for local sustainable businesses will be provided so that entrepreneurial stallholders can sell their products and services.

Free art workshops, willow weaving, storytelling, face-painting and a magician will entertain children throughout the day.

For the adults, an exciting itinerary of futurist speakers will take to the stage at the Ivor Potter Hall. These keynote speakers will discuss ideas on how we might create a brighter future for Bude, Cornwall and the World.

For the electric vehicle fans, there will be a chance to test out some electric bikes and check out some electric cars too.

All members of Bude Climate Partnership will also be there on the day to showcase the exciting projects that they’ve been working on over the last 18 months. This will include lots of interactive fun for all the family.

The key aim of the festival is to provide the entire family with a fun, immersive and entertaining day. Inspiring the community, it aims to give everyone in the town a chance to celebrate all that Bude is, was and could be in the future.

Robert Uhlig, Project Coordinator for Bude Climate Partnerships commented: ”Bude Climate Partnership is working on ways to protect our town, environment and way of life from the impacts of climate change. We’re nothing without our local community; this festival is just our way of saying a big ‘thank you’.”
