Ian has been in practice for nearly 40 years, during which time he has amassed a breadth of experience in most areas of the law that are of “bread and butter” interest to SMEs. He also sits on the board of trustees of three charities. Ian’s wife is a local “maid” and, since they relocating to the area in 2009, Ian has become involved with the Chamber and the Steering Group for the Bude-Stratton Neighbourhood Plan. He is currently Director of Professional Law Services Ltd “Pro Law”, a legal consultancy in Bude.
Having acquired a wide business skill-set in a long career in insurance, John is now retired and owns a holiday cottage in Poughill. He sits on the Bude-Stratton Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group and the Bude BEAM Coastal Community Team. He keenly advocates collaborative working between enterprises, local authorities and organisations.
Verity was born and bred in Cornwall before crossing the border to spread her wings. Once she completed a degree in Mathematics and Management at Imperial College, London she changed direction completely and found herself the Assistant Financial Controller of London Kensington Hilton, and Hilton Hotels group accounts trainer, having never abandoned her first love of hotels from spending her school holidays working at the Falcon Hotel in Bude.
Latterly, she returned to Bude with her children, and now, as Operations Manager of VC Warehouse, she is spreading the word about hosted VoIP, an office based phone system, rapidly replacing ISDN.
